MISSION: To maintain oversight of the Academy’s finances. Develop and administer appropriate and successful financial plans and procedures to ensure the present and future financial health of the Academy while operating within the framework of the BAFTA EC Inc’s by-laws and overall mission statement.

Television Committee and New Media
Chair: Jane Rimer
Vice Chair: Gillian Rose
MISSION: To produce entertaining events that showcase British television programming and television trends and introduce British talent to American audiences. The focus is also to educate BAFTA members on challenges facing the television industry on both sides of the Atlantic. We can do this through panel discussions, screenings and one-on-one evenings with particular guests. Also to work on New Media events to bring all the latest in new technology and developments in this area to BAFTA members.

Film Committee
Chair: Daniel Rosenberg
MISSION: To provide our membership with an environment that fosters the education and advancement of motion picture arts through film screenings, Q & A’s, panel discussions and other events. This may include panels addressing film development or finance, British film weeks to showcase British films in New York and other events to bolster our relationships with film groups such as the Tribeca Film Center, Lincoln Center and the French Institute. Furthermore, we will investigate potential partnerships with screenings to create a 'home base' for BAFTA East Coast screenings.

MISSION: To maintain the day to day relationships with the film companies. To present BEC as a desirable guild for screenings, with talent when possible. To work with the studios to create successful screening events which create a sense of community among our members. To run the invitations and the RSVP side for all BEC events

MISSION: To assess the value to BEC of all non film or TV events presented to them for consideration, to reach out for new events to promote BEC alone or with other organisations. To co-ordinate the planning, operation and production of these events . To ensure a successful and profitable event.

PR and Marketing

MISSION: To generate positive brand exposure for BEC by aligning it with other prestigious entertainment related and educational organizations that will further BAFTA EAST COAST’s goals. From a public relations perspective, the committee seeks to maximize visibility of the organization and its activities in the media with an emphasis on entertainment trade press.

Operations

MISSION: To devise, develop and maintain the very best practices and standards in management and communications efficiencies in support of the day to day and long term activities of BAFTA EC. This will include the development of a new BAFTA EC website which will oversee and manage the BAFTA and BAFTA EC brand, keep members and the community in general informed of all events and news and promote BEC both online and to other BAFTA chapters through the website.

MISSION: To swiftly complete the design, integration and launch of the new website, while maintaining a close link with BAFTA (UK) with the newly announced house style development which will bring BEC more closely into the BAFTA family – while maintaining an individual and unique identity.
