As BEC has grown over the years its membership has increased to more than 700 members who today enjoy nearly 100 pre-release screenings per year, many with exclusive Q&As featuring A-list stars, writers, directors and producers. As these and other events have grown in frequency and size, so the administrative needs of the thriving organization quickly grew beyond what could be expected of volunteers. As a result in 2006, Christina Thomas was named the first Chief Executive. Others now paid for their part time services include Jill Hawkins and Susan Wagner.
